The new offer

The partnership between Nord Pool Spot AS and NASDAQ OMX Commodities will provide a strong offering, establishing a UK short term physical power market and a cash-settled power derivatives market with a full range of clearing services.

This will conform to the criteria from the original Request for Proposals issued by the Futures and Options Association (FOA) to establish services for the UK power market. Following a full review by the member fi rms of the FOA’s review committee, Nord Pool Spot and NASDAQ OMX Commodities were appointed as the recommended provider to provide these services.
